New 2010 Bentley Continental Flying Spur Black Bison

WALD International, the Japanese aftermarket expert has released its latest styling conversion, the WALD Bentley Continental Flying Spur Sports Line Black Bison Edition.
Amazing stuff, such as new front bumper-for additional air intake, daytime running lights with LED technology and side air inlets are some of the options from included in the car kit. The bumper has a bold design and the same type of grille used of Bentley for the radiator. Redesigned side skirts with simple lines and air intakes placed in front of the rear wheels are also part of the new package.

The new rear bumper has a complex design and a carbon fiber boot lid, the rear bumper has a kind of diffuser, air outlets, and quadruple exhaust with two pairs of overlapped oval pipes. Tined ornaments for front and rear side windows are part of the package also, and, it should be noticed that alloy rims are also an attraction of Bentley Continental Flying Spur Black Bison.
New Bentley Mulling Four-Door Coupe
While the Mercedes-Benz CLS doesn’t compete in the ultra-luxury range of $100,000 and above, it has spurred similar entries both above and below.
The Aston Martin Rapide and Porsche Panamera compete above it, while models like the Volkswagen Passat CC aim to copy it.
The CLS is finally getting some direct competition in the form of Audi’s A7 Sportback, and even more could is coming with BMW’s approval of its Gran Coupe Concept for production.
Lamborghini is said to be seriously considering the prospect with the Evoque and Bentley’s next model is likely to be the 16C Galibier. But what about Bentley? It could be considering a four-door coupe model of its own.
The company has a history with segment-blending models like the shooting brake two-door wagon. Thankfully, it avoided entering the SUV craze. But with ambitious growth goals, what is next for the brand? The range-topping Mulsanne and best-selling Continental line have been redesigned.
News about a potential model addition comes straight from Bentley head Dr Franz-Josef Paefgen who said the brand wants to introduce a “third-generation model”.
In other words, a third model line, that is likely to slot below the Mulsanne and Flying Spur. Remember, sales growth often comes by going downmarket. Auto Express says the model being considered is a four-door coupe, based on the Audi A7 Sportback. Given sharing between Audi and Bentley in the past, that move would make sense.
The report says the car would be priced in the £85,000 (approximately $135,861 USD at current exchange rates) range, and could potentially sell very well in markets like China.
This could be a logical next step for Bentley – if the A7 Sportback and the new car don’t share too much with each other. The new Bentley needs to have striking bodywork to set it apart. If done right, it could be a fantastic addition to Bentley’s model portfolio.
New Bentley Announces Flying Spur Series 51
Bentley’s Continental lineup has been an undisputed success. Bentley’s resurgence was predicated primarily on the increases in sales that these two models brought, as the Arnage carried over from the pre-Volkswagen days.
The GT coupe is no doubt the star of the lineup, but the Flying Spur came along after in 2005 to provide something for those looking for a four-door version.
The Continental lineup is now about to enter its second-generation, with the evolutionary 2012 Continental GT introduced in September of this year.
The redesigned Flying Spur has yet to be introduced, but it is on its way. Like with the Continental GT and GTC, Series 51 models are being introduced as a sendoff to the outgoing model.
The packages mainly focus on individuality, adding 14 different combinations for customer’s to tailor cars to their liking.
Melinda June-Jenkins, manager of colour and trim and Bentley says:”Each Series 51 Flying Spur is instantly recognisable – most notably in the cabin area – where the colour and trim team has created a wide selection of three-tone interiors demonstrating the full potential of the company’s vast colour palette.”
Bentley isn’t encouraging customers to go all wacky a la Mansory however. With a customer’s choice of three constrasting colors, Bentley’s styling team says it will work to create “complex but harmonizing color schemes of depth and beauty. ” They start with a main interior color and wood veneer, then select a second insert color for contrast. Hold on though – there is one more, a third “accent” color for the stitching and piping.
Bentley has released some images of one of the combinations they have designed. What do you guys think, did they create something individual but yet still tasteful? Let us know in the comments.
Report Details Bentley’s New 4.0-Liter V-8
Last September, Bentley lifted the lid on its redesigned Continental GT. The first generation of the car proved to be a huge success for Bentley, helping to significantly increase the luxury division’s sales over the last decade.
So it when it came to replace the existing model, introduced in 2003, Bentley played it understandably safe. One of the big changes was the announcement that a V-8 engine would be available this year.
The V-8 is a 4.0-liter unit that will serve as the car’s new base model. The Continental GT when it was introduced was all about being a more accessible vehicle than the Arnage (now the all-new Mulsanne). The V-8 model looks set to continue that, offering a lower price tag.
Autocar reports that the engine will be available in two iterations. At the base end there will be a a 415 horsepower single turbocharged engine or a twin-turbocharged model making 555 horsepower.
That is interesting given the fact that the car’s W12 engine produces not much more power, checking in at 567. it seems likeliest that the single-turbocharged model will be the one available. Until now we haven’t heard until now what kind of power the V-8 would be producing, and 415 is a nice figure.
Also in the article is news that the Mulsanne has sold out its production for 2011. Right now things are looking good for Bentley!
