I bet this doesn't show up at the Oakland Pontiac club outings... that's too bad, it would be a blast to see the reaction from the nut and bolt, rotisserre restoration crowd when they got a eyefull of this

paint design by wind tunnel, good idea!
LeMans 1970. Porsche 917LH “Psychedelic”. The cars paint scheme came from the painter who put green dabs on the car and placed it in a wind tunnel while the paint was still wet. This was the end result and he placed it on the real car. Only two of these cars built. The sister car set the fastest lap and reached a top speed of 245 mph.Via: http://eknude.tumblr.com/
when your rear wheel parts company with your race car and passes you in the turn, it must be Monday
Photo from http://5window.tumblr.com/ I think, it might have been http://motomania.tumblr.com/ ... I can't recall.Funniest photo I've seen all day. While I'm on the topic; overheard at the car show today " this girl asked if she could get in my Minerva, so I said "Sure go ahead".. and waited til she was halfway in, and then said "I'm sure the owner won't mind . . . " and she freaked out.
The view the race car drivers have at Speedfest, racing on the airfield at Naval Air Station North Island, San Diego (leave your speakers off or low)
Crower Cams and Equipment 2nd annual open house and car show was a hit!
These two are frequently found at San Diego cackle events, and will be at the upcoming weekend Mopar show in Carlsbad on the 17th
The Hunter Special was here last year also, and my gallery for it is: http://justacarguy.blogspot.com/2009/06/vintage-race-cars-crower-1st-open-house.html
Great tool caddy
The kids were having a fun time with the jump house thing (no I don't have kids or know the right name for the inflateable fun house)
