A couple of woodys I've never seen before, a 1921 Renault and a Goggomobile

A couple of guys have commented that the red car is a Bantam, but it isn't. It's a Goggomobile.
And the source of that info is from the source of the photos, Caradisiac http://www.forum-auto.com/automobiles-mythiques-exception/section5/sujet225087-3780.htm

2010 Renault Megane Sedan Spy Photos

Today we have first pictures of the new Megane Sedan with heavy camouflage that was spotted in snowy Sweden doing winter testing.

Renault has already officially introduced the third-generation Megane Hatchback and the Coupe. Just recently we brought you spy shots of the Grandtour version.

Just like the new Megane hatch, power will come from a range of gasoline and diesel engines. Gasoline engines range from 1.4-liter to 2.0 liter(225 hp when turbocharged) and diesel engines offered are 1.5-liter and 1.9-liter dCI turbodiesels with power from 89 hp to 178 hp.

Built on the same platform as the Nissan Qashqai, it will go against the Peugeot 308, Fiat Bravo and VW Golf VI, and will obviously be much more than just a mature evolution of the current Megane.

Reports say problems with new Renault

Jan.28 (GMM) The opening test of Renault's 2009 car did not proceed as planned for the French team, the Swiss publication Motorsport Aktuell reports.

Although the Portimao test was badly marred by the weather last week, it is suggested that Renault struggled with the early performance of the new R29.

The aerodynamics of the unique-looking racer is apparently the culprit, and at the end of the only dry day in Portugal last week, Fernando Alonso was easily the slowest of the four new cars.

Marcello Felipe_ 2009 Renault New Alpine Concept Design

Brazilian design student Marcello Felipe Maggioni brings us this rendering of a Renault sports car. The design pays homage to the 1987 Renault Alpine GTA V6 Turbo, a car that in turn had inspired Marcello himself to be a car designer.

The four front headlights are highlighted by the use of two LED light strips above each pair on either side. Rear lights also feature LED technology but with an added 3D effect. The engine is a Renault F1 powerplant modified for road usage. It's there for all to see under a large glass cover just behind the two seats.

Marcello is studying a course called Design of Mobility - Transportation Design, at Fundação Armando Alvares Penteado in São Paulo, Brazil. Perhaps the day when Renault builds its awaited Alpine sports car, a design similar to his one will emerge.

Several characteristics were taken from the original Alpine GTA in order that a sort of lineage was maintained such that if a modern version of the car were built its history and heritage would be obvious to the eye. A few of these exterior design characteristics include large headlights that droop very low on the front grille. The flowing swoosh behind the C pillar has been retained but changed to suit a more futuristic look. It also serves the purpose of being an air inlet for the engine.

Geneva preview:New Renaultsport Megane Headed

The new Renaultsport Megane will be unveiled at the Geneva motor show on 3 March. UK sales have been brought forward and the new car will be available by late summer, or even slightly earlier.

The new Renaultsport Megane is expected to be seen as a direct rival for the forthcoming more extreme versions of the new Volkswagen Scirocco.

The new Renaultsport Megane will be based on the dramatic three-door Megane coupe, and a five-door version based on the regular Renault Megane hatchback has been ruled out.

The hot version will get unique styling, with a completely different nose based on that of the new Megane Trophy race car (pictured) that was unveiled at the Paris show last September.

Car News: 2009 Renault Megane Coupe U.K. pricing announced

As the more athletic model in the New Megane series, the Coupe does without the 1.6 100 engine seen on the five-door, but gains Renault’s first CVT (Continuous Variable Transmission) with the 2.0 140 gas engine.

Six-speed manual gearboxes are standard for all models in the series with the exception of the 1.5 dCi 86 which is five-speed, and of course the CVT.

Completing the Coupe series is Privilège, offering 16-inch ‘Spirale‘ alloy wheels, dual zone climate control, folding door mirrors which are electrically adjusted, electrochome rear view mirror, rear seat armrest with storage and rear parking sensors.

As well as its profuse equipment list, the new Megane Coupe series is available with a wide range of choices:

* £840 ($1,350 or €1,060) Arkamys ‘3D’ Sound 4×30W RDS radio CD with Bluetooth and multi-functional TunePoint (for USB keys and portable music players)

Sao Paulo Auto Show: Renault Unveils Sand'up Concept Unveils

Renault has unveiled its latest concept car, the Sand'up, at the Sao Paulo Auto Show today. The Sand'up is a modular concept car; a 2+2 coupe/convertible with movable panels that can convert the vehicle into various configurations. The model is also described as a compact SUV or pick up, given its design and higher center of gravity and the ability to convert its rear space into a transport bed.

Renault has not said whether the Sandero Stepway is expected to make its way to the European market. The Sand'up is still in the concept phase and Renault has not yet announced any production plans for it.

The Sand'up is based on the Sandero Stepway, Renault's latest compact SUV released in Brazil this month, which is also slated for the Argentinian market. The Sand'up is powered by a 1.6 liter engine, with outputs of 110 hp and 148 Nm of torque, that can run on either gasoline or ethanol. Ethanol is widely available in Brazil and the country is the world's largest producer of the organic fuel.

2009 RenaultSport Megane GTI blasts in

Things are really hotting up at Renault. Following the launch of the three-door Mégane at the Paris Motor Show last week, Auto Express can reveal work has already begun in earnest on a flagship Renaultsport version to replace the outgoing R26.

It’s set to hit showrooms in a year’s time with a price tag of around £20,000. The fiery hot hatchback will take on the Volkswagen Golf GTI and Ford Focus ST in a sector that’s proved hugely successful for the French manufacturer in recent years.

At first glance, the prototype – which was spied undergoing testing – resembles the regular three-door Mégane. Study it closely, however, and there’s a central tailpipe – a trademark of Renaultsport editions – while the wheels, tyres and brakes are much larger than on the standard model. The final car will have very aggressive styling with a deep front spoiler, lots of air intakes and a full bodykit with plastic inserts.

The Renaultsport Mégane is set to make its official world debut at March’s Geneva Motor Show, before going on sale in the UK next autumn.
